Foxy cannot tolerate fleece (it makes her itch) so Juley managed to find the most luxurious fabric for this bespoke garment

Foxy needed something that she could wear indoors on colder nights or wear out for a walk. She is 13 and feels the cold. The coat is not waterproof but she does not do rain these days, anyway ;) )

Hard to see from the photo, but it is supersoft chocolate cotton lined with velvety soft fake fur and then embroidered with pretty trailing flowers right through the fabric. It is absolutely stunning and best of all Foxy is comfortable in it.

Foxy kindly agreed to model her new coat as a big thank you to Juley :flowers: :flowers: :flowers:

What a lucky girl! That sounds and looks wonderful

She looks very elegant in her new coat...I know what you mean about the oldies feeling the cold..Fred feels it a lot as well these days. Lovely colour...really suits her. Had to smile at Toddy the whirling dervish in the background... :teehee:

Foxy has close spiky fur and it catches in fleece making her really uncomfortable so that she would spend all her time trying to get her coat off. I have searched for fabric like this everywhere. It seems impossible to buy silky soft short pile fur fabric. I did not have any choice in colour and Juley only had a little of this left but as you can see, the colour suits Foxy very well.

It is so sad to see a once super fit squirrel catcher and mouser become so frail and weak. She went down hill badly early last year when her son Peat died, they were inseperable.

Had to smile at Toddy the whirling dervish in the background... :teehee:
As for Toddy going mad in the background, 2 seconds later, he knocked Foxy over :'( and she lay there on her back with all four legs in the air howling like a banshee :'( She was not hurt, just got a fright. Once she had a cuddle and a treat she was fine.

Foxy looks lovely in her new coat

Bless her, it really suits her. I am so glad she is comfortable in it. My eldest is 12 in July and needs a coat now too.

Foxy looks gorgeous in her new coat  That's great that it won't irritate her :))

Foxy looks lovely sporting her 2010 new season's wardrobe -

I hope my girlies look as good as she does when they're 13.
