Fred Had A Small Op On His Foot....

aww just look at Fred with his posh slipper on  glad he's had the corn removed and here's hoping it lets him spend more time out painfree walking. Bet Stan was wondering where his little friend was all the time....that's why he kept going sideways

Poor Fred having that op, Stan has had it on both front feet over the last few months to remove corns. His was a nightmare as due to his steroids he took over 5 weeks to heal - but I am sure Freds will be much quicker

These corns are absolutely terrible things, I really hope it works out for him :huggles:

By the way, you may want to get a Therapaw boot, they are brilliant and about £10 but so worth it and he'll find it more comfy. Google it, I bought mine from a vets online shop and was with me in a few days.

I hope Fred's soon 100% and running about with the

lovely little Stan

Thanks for the tip. I've had a bit of a nightmare with boots and have just ordered a 3rd one, a smaller size for dachshunds, yorkies etc. The one he has at present keeps coming off, and will only stay on if his pastern is bulked out with a bandage round it. I wish I'd ordered a good quality, more expensive one straight off now.

Fred's still hasn't healed properly. I'm hoping another fortnight will do the trick. I hope your Stan is corn free soon. It's quite stressful for all concerned really....not nice.

aww hope fred is feeling better now his corn has been removed ,poppy sends uncle fred some dogy licks and cuddles :huggles: :huggles:

More well wishes for Fred from us - Holly thinks she needs a boot for her 'bad' foot - has Fred taken to it OK?

Enjoyed the photos of Stan - did you feel odd out walking only 1 dog? (w00t)

Fred has taken to it fine. There was a bit of running around shaking his paw, 'get this darned thing off me foot!' for the first day, but he soon got used it. :p I'd recommend buying a boot that you measure the foot for, and spending a bit extra to get one that fits and lasts well. The cheap ones are not a good fit and wear out in no time.

It does feel odd walking one dog. Stan is beautifully behaved on his own (contrary to when he's out with Fred). He comes back when called, never barks at other dogs, he even sat quietly in a pub whilst we had our dinner without reacting to an EBT when it came in. But who wants perfection....it's boring -_-
