I agree 100%. :cheers: Importing a dog is one thing, un-natural matings is another.

With horses, shuttle sires come here & must "serve" each mare. Maybe the same for dogs????
 
I know there has been some debate elsewhere about the ethics of frozen semen and its implantation. If we lived in a perfect world we would all prefer 'natural matings' But sometimes we admire virtues in a stud dog from another continent, and that dog is not always available to purchase. So importing semen from this dog is the next best option.

This opens up the opportunity to explore new lines, and use a stud dog you feel with enhance your breeding program.

However, I don't think we can compare collecting semen in the same vein as stud work with stallions.

These dogs are eager to work at stud, and are collected with a teaser bitch to help with the collection.
