Sitting in the garden a couple of days ago I was visited by this enchanting pair.

Luckily the boys were hiding from the heat indoors under a fan and so the pair were undisturbed.

That must be a first as Merlin is always "on duty" as a rule.

They stayed for quite a while.Thought you might like to see them,I believe they are a mistle thrush parent and youngster.

Nice pics. I love to see birds in my garden.......there are loads of baby sparrows about here at the moment. I put food out every day for them. Watching them is a great way to spend a few few minutes every day.

Beautiful pair.. yes they do look like Mistle thrushes...

Terrific ,

I put a new bird stand nearer the patio window last winter and this spring I have been honoured with 2 lots of baby robins , 3 blackbirds lots of young , a super clutch of bluebirds and a very noisy family of starlings, at the height of it all I was putting out 2 half coconuts a day plus filling the seedcontainer at least twice a day . costing me a fortune , but I love every minuits of watching them , my OH says its like living with Bill Oddey !!

just to add Ive penned the bottom lawn so the dogs cant get my babies :teehee:

Couldnt take any pics cos OH had the camera

Beautiful birds...nice to see photos of them.

Great pictures

Beautiful photographs !! Lovely birds , aren`t they. We get so many and these last two years we have a lot of Magpies for some reason. I could watch them all day and thankfully, the dogs are in the back garden...They chase all the birds...Well. they chase everything really !!.....This is the Jack Russells....Bluebell doesn`t bother at all :p
