This is the usual start. George, the cat, knows that Mabel is susceptible to teasing… However, she gives as good as she gets.

My dog has a GREAT relationship with all cats! - see one - chase one! Some improvement but still a nightmare! .....

Yes, Tinytom, every bit a whippet and, Flobo, they are an absolute hoot. George is a bit weird in that he asks to be put to bed. He sleeps in the utility room and can go there himself but, when tired, expects one of us has to take him. If we can’t be fagged he makes a bit of a nuisance of himself starting off with Mabel - staring at her intently and, if that doesn’t get a reaction, patting her paw (unintended alliteration). Mabel will get fed up and check him and, to keep the peace, George is carted off to bed. Same thing most nights. However, they are great friends and, as a double act, can manipulate both me and Mrs RGC. If I can master the technique I’ll post a short video of George ambushing Mabel in the garden. Not dissimilar to lions and wildebeest.

I must admit never knowing another whippet that was cat friendly :)

We’ve always had cats and it was no problem introducing our first whippet (the one we found) to the cats. We’ve found that introducing the whippet onto the cat’s territory was an easy approach. In this instance George had been living on the streets in Thessalonika and wasn’t spooked by Mabel’s arrival. They have an amazing relationship.

This is a photo of our two previous whippets and Basil, the cat, in complete harmony.
