Your poor car  (w00t)     my first Greyhound Jemma ate the head lining out of my feista Van when she was 7 months cos Id left her in it ,     Luckily at the time I was in the `trade ` so it didnt cost much , and OH laughed it off , he didnt laugh the 2nd time when she also chewed all the rubber around the door frame PLUS ate the sun visor . i did nt bother getting it repaired until I was ready to sell it  , So its not jsu Whippies that are naughtty is it
She has never chewed anything at home, but becomes a devil dog at racing,

I used to work with a guy who had 6 deerhound x grey and he drove a mini clubman and the dogs had ripped every single peice of upholstery in the car the seats were just metal and springs (w00t)

(w00t) and the seats arnt comfy at the best of times

I've had 8 pairs of shoes disappear, socks, jumpers, teddies, a purse, some gloves, not to mention things I thought were out of greyhound reach!

When my father in law visited last month I made him put his shoes, passport, money, tickets etc on top of the bookcase! (w00t)

Edited to add - I forgot pens, paper, envelopes (straight out of the letterbox is best) and cardboard (bet you can't guess who that is Hilary!!) (w00t) It's a good excuse though - I'm sorry I can't pay my bill, my dog ate it!! :- "

That's the best one yet!! (w00t)

Tiny is slowly working his way through the banister. He lies on his back at the top of the stairs and munches on it!!

I came in from nipping out the other day and Holly had got into the bedroom ( the cat can open the door some how and Holly obviously followed!) and i found her laying on the bed with..

A whole roll of toilet roll shredded in to a million pieces! ( other half had a cold and left the roll by bed)

my flip flops chewed

photo frame holder chewed to bits too!!

(w00t) (w00t) you can imagene the mess!!!

 Can't help laughing at all these tales and photos! (w00t) Muffin seems a complete angel o:) compared to all the whippets I'm reading about. The worst he's done is put lots of dents in my mobile phone (rescued it just in time), chewed the buttons off anything that's been left lying around, nibbled at the door frame and put a big hole in the middle of my (ancient, thank goodness) rug! He concentrates mostly on J-cloths and destuffing pillows and cushions! Our last whippet, Josh, only ever chewed up my glasses and completely removed the underlay from our lounge carpet.

:- " Wonder if I ought to have a rethink about getting a second pup? Not sure how long I can get away with things so lightly!!! :sweating:

Digit loves pens and propelling pencils - especially if they have a rubber on the end!

He also ate OH's new glasses (1 week old, chewed the lenses out of them!)

But the best (or worst?) was a pair of antique pattons(sp?) - a kind of wooden sole on a platform with leather straps, for walking in the mire or through floods. Inherited from my nana.....survived 10 years in farmyard sludge, 70 years in old lady's house, and precisely 3 days in the company of a whippet!

and you're sooooooooo very right Lesley! I did indeed weep and wail and beat myself around the head for being such a great gallute!
