Cheers Peter, think this will make a good avatar! :D

Thats easy Jac,your singing 'Who let the dogs out' She's singing the next line 'Woof, woof ,woof woof.' Ok, not very original :b but i'm sure song would go great with the vid

Quick mention for Tarkow, i didn't report that the Wednesday before Devon he did 8.23, just 1/2 yd off the track record, super going considering he's been off the track for 12 months, best of luck with him.

29th July

Track was WET and running about 20 slow, think it's fair to say that everyone went home caked in mud, especially Ruby who fell over 3 times and spent the rest of the night splashing in puddles with Sam & Maddie.

Nice to see Darren over from Lancaster with his 2 big dogs Mule Skinner & Mr Solo and Linda with her newly acquired Teal (Striesand x Our Amy?) who chased lovely putting everything into his runs and looks very promising, the new coupe into racing (sorry i still dont know your names) brought their More or Less pup down for me to have a look at, he's gorgeous, the racing bug has well and truly bit there and i hope you have many years of fun with him.

We're hoping to do a bit of scratch racing now leading up to the champs, so anyone's welcome to come for a run.

Violet trialled from the traps for 40yds, trapping like a complete natural and bombing as fast as her little legs would carry her, it'll have to be a muzzle for her soon, she wouldn't let go of the lure and proceeded to wrap Mark up in it

Hunkie Sc

5th August

A fab turnout last night with loads of trials and 5 heats of racing, heats were in 3 dog scratch races graded with dogs of similar speed & size which worked out really well and gave them some level break (and lure at the front) experience which will be needed in a few weeks time. The track was lovely and soft from all the rain lately but not too much that it was getting churned up. Nice to see Maizee Mu having a blast, showing no signs of her injury and running a good time to boot.

Heats

Maid Your Point - 8.62 brill, very evenly matched, neck & neck all the way with Jude just getting up on the line

Maid u Luck

Hellish

Picaninny - 8.78, great run from Ninny winning by a length from Mo Carlin

Beside the Point

Mo Carlin

Hunkie - 8.40, again all 3 evenly matched with Paddy just hanging on from a fast finishing Bobby Dazzler

Bobby Dazzler

King Bear

Red Moon Rising 8.75

Twisted Sister w/d

Push the Button w/d

Gingerbred

I'll be Back - 8.80

Hubble (Maid u Luck x Lacey Lastic) had his first run in company and passed clean twice 9.21. Jill (Just Friends x Mebs Rosie) also had her first run in company, again passing clean and running on in 9.01, followed by a mixed trial with 2 other dogs - no issues.

Roxy (Just Friends x Gimmick) had her first handslip back from injury and went well, still mad keen on the lure.

Maizee Mu trialled 8.62

Violet had another couple of 50yds out of the boxes, looking to be bombing with her little tail twirling round above her.

Marvin (Hellbound x Refuse to Bend) went well in both his trials 9.04 & 9.20

Jess, Sal & Snip (peds) all had a run together with Snip running away from the others 9.95

Jenny (Red Ranger x Hobgoblin) had a couple of solo's 9.32 & 9.29

Teal (Striesand x Our Amy?) also had another couple of handslips and looks to be really trialling, can't see any issues with his schooling.

Jess & Sal (Saluki's) both had a trial together, they both love their runs at Gin Pit now.

Asha (ghd), Jack (ghd) & Bood (lurcher) all had a run together with Asha winning from the start and the others having fun trying to catch her 8.50

2nd round of heats, owners were happy to do the same heats as the first round.

Maid Your Point - 8.64

Maid u Luck

Hellish

Gingerbred

I'll be Back - 8.92

Maizee Mu Sc

Red Moon Rising 2 - 8.60 BTSc

Tommy wanted a run with Maizee setting up another dog so these two were handicapped from the times of their first runs.

Picaninny

Beside the Point - 8.87, Mo Carlin

This time Liv figured you don't get anywhere trying to trap before the lids come up - still 2-1 to Ruby though Mark!

Hunkie

Bobby Dazzler - 8.42

Another fast finish from Bobby to get back up on the line.

4 dog scratch races next week

Just to let you know--TEAL is out of Striesand x Drama Queen

Great night last night :D

Well done to Jill on clearing, never thought the lure mad girly would have any issues and hope she does Keith proud.

Marvin looked something else when he ran up and he's another that I think will run clean when it's time for him to trial with company.

Hubble improving every week and still think this dog has got more to show.

Wendy and Tony's dogs all looking and running fab, keep up the good work you two! :D

Great to see Maizee and how well she looks after her respite too both on and off the track.

Jenny had a couple of solos with her being poorly a fortnight ago, I didn't want to overface the youngster even though she had cleared last month. Which reminds me, thanks to those who helped me clear her and also those that let me run before them with Emma having to leave early that night. It was much appreciated and gave us the opportunity to enter her first ever open race at her home track. Thank you all concerned. :)

The scratch racing was brill, nice and close racing that gave all the dogs a chance and dissapointed none that lost. Definately what dogs running at the club need to motivate them for the champs

12th August

Another fab turnout, the club is certainly thriving and there's still dogs off injured / being saved & some pups for the region that haven't started training yet; Tommy has Mimsy  (Wor John x Weardale Lass), Ken has his 2 pups Wor John x Florence & Gems Lad x J2O and there's also the young pup from More or Less x One for Me, some pups from Tony's Moonpie will also be staying in the region once they're here - all very promising for next years handicap.

The track's still catching a few of the youngsters out, it isn't brilliant at the moment, but they're all taking it in their stride.

We had scratch races, once again extremely close results on the line in every race, there should be a few more next week for that last run before the champs.

Roxy (Just Friends x Gimmick), 50yd handslip, she went well also.

Coal, one of last years lurcher pups & his first time full distance 9.56

Forrest (Maid u Luck x Lacey Lastic) went full distance, when he gets going he's got a really nice running action, he's still mad keen on Tony but he's getting better bless him.

19th August

Firstly i'm sure everyone from the club is with me on passing our sincere condolences on to Jacqui & Tony on the loss of their scratch dog Jack Seven who died yesterday. RIP Jack x

Still a good turnout even though there were a few dogs missing (some injured & some being saved for the champs), all scratch races once again. The track was flying (if i didn't know better i'd have said the traps were moved forward lol) , 15/20 faster than usual, i suspect due to the fact the track's dried a lot over the last few weeks and it did look quite a bit flatter.

Picaninny Sc 1st 8.72

Twisted Sister Sc

Mo Chara Sc

Beside the Point Sc DH 8.63

This was going to be a four dog race & were split in the end from the first 2 as Linda felt Twisted Sister would go in hard, Mark didn't want to risk it so close to the champs.

It worked out better in the end, she was probably better suited running with a dog her own weight & speed rather than two little 18lbers.
