GLORY

Meet Glory. She is a 2 year old ex-racing girl who was never all that interested in the competition – we think the total amount of prize money she earned was €20. That wont go far nowadays!

Glory is a lovely little black girl who is in good health and condition. She is 26” to the shoulder and her father was bred in Australia so she is half Aussie!

Glory is a little poppet and loves to give you amazing cuddles. She arrived very timid and unsure of everyone but soon came out of herself and now tries for as much attention as she can get. Moving her out of kennels and into a home environment has also done wonders, and she is beautifully outgoing now. She is very affectionate with her fosterers and always greets them in the morning with a big wagging tail and a gentle request for a cuddle. And who could refuse?!

Glory is good with other dogs of all sizes and enjoys their company as long as they don’t jump all over her. She likes to be the Madame of the group, but isn’t aggressive, she just likes to play on her terms. Glory has also passed her initial cat test with flying colours, and we are currently testing her more thoroughly with cats to see if she can be deemed as suitable to live with them. An update on this will be coming soon.

Like most greyhounds, Glory will not need a huge amount of exercise. She will be content with two 30min walks a day and perhaps a chance to stretch her legs offlead in a secure area once or twice a week.

In general greyhounds are calm, mannerly dogs that are well used to being handled. They can fit very well in to a wide range of different lifestyles and usually adjust to the home life very quickly. Their soft, easy going nature often makes them ideal to live in a family with children, while their love of lazing around and low exercise requirements can make them perfect for the elderly. Greyhounds also don’t shed as much as other more popular dog breeds and this can make them suitable to live with allergy sufferers.

Glory is currently in foster care in Norfolk, UK. She can be homed anywhere in the UK, but please note that you will be required to travel to the foster home to meet and collect her. She is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, de-flea'd and wormed and a homecheck will be required as part of the adoption procedure.

If you are interested in adopting Glory , please email me on tamakin_84@yahoo.co.uk for our adoption application form and information pack. Emails are usually replied to within 24hrs. Thanks!
