Lovely Spring sunshine today and our old track looked great after a few months rest while we ran on the other side of the field.

Viv's Now't Like The Devil and Jane's Quiver were unbeaten all day, - well done to them!

Unfortunately Gill's Darkling Sandfly pulled up during the h/w final with what seemed to be a muscle problem. We do hope that Zephyr has a comfortable night Gill and that he - and you are feeling better tomorrow. :huggles: We send him our best wishes for a speedy recovery. :luck:

looks like we missed a good day. cant wait till i can win the lottery and no longer have to work weekends lol Sorry to hear about Zephyr sending hugs to both Zephyr and Gill :huggles:

We also send our best wishes to Gill and Zephyr. It was a lovely sunny day with some good racing. I introduced myself to Geoffs young pup Tom. He's looking keen already, and I'm loving his big bear paws.

Barney beat big brother Smidge in the cons final, but as you were copying my programme Kay, I probably wrote it down wrong (w00t)

See you all next week

Just to say thank you all SO much for all the loving good wishes to Zephyr. He was very stiff and obviously in pain when we got home, went to Sandra this a.m and the good news is nothing is actually torn or broken, but he has very severely bruised both ham strings, he has a huge , haematoma down both back legs and is still in a lot of pain. Apparently he has avoided serious injury by a whisker. He's on pain killers, massage and physio, complete rest for a week, gradual return to exercise and racing by mid-April. Bless you, guys, we are truly blessed to have such lovely, caring friends. As Arnie said "We'll be back" !!

Ah yes June and the second heat of the Heavyweights :teehee: - as Ramona was home 1st in that race

So pleased to hear Zephyr has not been too badly injured Gill and we wish him a speedy recovery. :luck:

And a huge big thank-you to you Gill :* for seconding all of our whippets National Passports yesterday, especially under the circumstances.

Hope Zephyr makes a speedy recovery Gill

Good to hear Zephyr is not really really broken, what a sensible lad pulling up, all the best for his recovery

So glad Zeph will be ok. Come back soon, the pub won't be the same without you xxx

So pleased that Zephyr is going to be OK. I am relieved that the speculation on what he might have done was all completely unfounded. I bet trying to keep him quiet for a week is going to be hell!!

Get better soon, with love from brother Axl

Hope Zephyr is soon feeling much more comfortable Gill, it sounds like a narrow escape. I'm sure he is getting the very best nursing care from you! Get well soon Zeph! :huggles: :luck:

Oh dear, sorry for the mistakes folks :( Thanks for letting me know. It was quite a hectic meeting with poor Zephyr's accident and our girl knocking her tooth out!

Get well soon Zephyr hope you feel a little better today i bet you are getting spoilt rotten

LOTS OF LOVE THE BLUE GANG XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

No probs Kay, it was a bit of a hectic day wasn't it! Hope Macy is feeling good - I don't know, you leave her muzzle off so she can have some fun, and she knocks a tooth out. All the dogs seem to like the white float on the lure, I bet she grabbed it with a bit too much excitement! Still I expect her losing a tooth is much more upsetting for us than it is for her :huggles:

Aw poor Macy :( I didn't hear of this probably because it was such a manic day and I was commandeered as usual to help Melissa with her pack! but Malcolm said he saw a lot of blood

Hope it has settled down now and as Mandy reflects "a toothless whippet" will probably give you plenty of laughs in the future when Macy smiles ;)

We thought Macy had bitten her tongue at first till we saw the gap in her bottom teeth. We only gave her a solo trial without the muzzle as she'd had a sore nose the previous week from some kind of allergy! You just can't do the right thing sometimes can you.

- Oh well, from now on she'll be able to whistle a merry tune as she runs along! At least we'll hear her coming!
