hi all, i thought we had a good day last saturday, shame about the weather. although plenty of good courses made it worthwhile. sparky.

Hi Sparky,

Yep a good day out and a few laughs along the way, although the main even was slightly spoiled by a bad slip in one of the courses.

The weather could of been kinder but I don't think anyone let it spoil the day.

It was a very good day.......shame about the bad slip in Barneys' semi, but the judge did well to stick to his guns, and these things happen (w00t) 8) .......We'll be trying again next Saturday :D

There were a lot of hares killed........do you think that they were poor hares, or was it because it was a driven meeting?....approx. 29 courses, 7 hares killed.

Well done Lady U. and T.V.......a good win , well deserved.

(you'll have to edit this post, if I'm not allowed to say that, Mark.....but seems churlish not to  )

There were plenty of good strong Hares but there were also a few should we say poorer Hares that were never traveling well.

They didn't look balled up but I think they were just old/not very healthy and I feel a few were coursed that should of been left well alone but at least they are now out of the breeding stock so if they were just poor they are not passing their genes on..

My opinion is that 1 course definatly should of been re-run but I wasn't making the decission but all those stood near me also felt the same and then to make matters worse there was the confusion over whether it was a no course or not!.

(John, i've been asked as you know to make sure no Landowners/slipper/judges names, venues ect appear on K9 unless the people concerned have said they don't object due to a number of complaints the AB recieved from several members. But I see nothing wronge with what you put as only those who know who you refer to would know who they are.)

Sparky did you get any Picks from Saturday?

hi mark, i didn't get any as the batteries were dead in my camera. did you get those i sent you last night.

Yes thanks Tony.

I thought you used a Generator for the camera :- "

hi mark, i do but it ran out of deisel. must also say well done to paul cork and golly for getting runner up in the chamagne stake.

Thanks for that Sparky, but all my hopes have been dashed for the puppy cup on sat ,as she has come in season ,so i had to with draw her,Never mind i have still got Lynperry Nancy Noodle, and Totty for this Sat , see all you boys soon ,Corky

I also enjoyed the day as there were some very good dogs on display. Dogs that could put a bend in the hare as opposed to merely escorting Owd Puss up the field.

The semi was a disappointment as the last time time those two dogs coursed together they were awarded the course of the day. Not bad for two racing bred dogs short on stamina.

Credit must also go to the Judge as I saw him pull against Barney and he stuck to his guns and it was probably the only mistake the Slipper made that day.

Roll on Saturday.
