We've just moved to St.Leonards/Hastings in East Sussex and was wondering if anyone would recommend a good vet for us.

i've recently had a bad experience with a vet in london who didn't diagnose a ruptured ligament and my poor whippet went for 5 unnecessary weeks in pain and on the lead when he needed an operation and could have been healing. he kept telling us it was a bruised bone and would heal in time. it was only as a result of going to see another 3 vets that we received the correct advice.

thank you.

Hello Runchie,

Good Luck with finding a vet in hastings, I know what a nightmare it is to find a good vet in London alot of them are seriously over priced and don't have a clue about whippets.

Hi Runchie,

I live near Pevensey in East Sussex and to be honest I travel to Ockendon in Essex to see John O'Connor the Greyhound vet  He is excellent. I've got his address and number if you need it :D

Hi Jacquie,

Thank you. I'd appreciate his details. What do you do if you have an emergency, as bit far to go?....i need to get a car.

Well in that case I would go to my regular vet near Eastbourne  But if it's a racing injury as I do race mine then I would travel to Ockendon rather than use the regular vets :p I'll e-mail you his details
