sorry to hear that ..great compant was running really well too

I would like to thank everyone for their support on Great Company (Lady). When she broke her leg it was really sickening as it was the first time in nearly two years that i felt she was coming back to her best, and to make things worse she came into season just days after the scottish derby so i will never know what might have been.when i got lady she was six months old, myself and Danny went down to carlisle to pick her up,as it was dark that night we did not realise the state that she was in.When we arrived back home i lifted her out of the car and imediately we noticed her back side drop to the ground. She was also covered in fleas. The next day we took her to the vets he was quite shocked at the state she was in. He told me that i would have to take her back to being like a two month pup feeding her three to four times a day.well you could imagine at that time i did not think she would have been able to race.So with some serious feeding and beleive me she can fairly pack it away, she soon built up.When we started schooling her she was a complete natural. When she was two years old i felt that she was at her best .when she got a serious bang on her left shoulder while running at the lord byron plate.Only months after that she tore her left peck muscle. From then on i felt that she never recovered. In the end when i look back on Ladys career, she gave me some breathtaking moments, but overall i am gratefull to have been able to race Lady considering the start she had in life. :)

How lucky your little whippet (LADY) is to have found an owner like you.....so good to hear she is ok......... :p

Lady is very lucky to have such a loving owner (glad she went away from where she started off  ). You sound like you have had a lot of fun with her nonetheless! :D

Good luck for the future
