Hi
Dont know where to start. I am devastated. As I write this I am on holiday in Turkey. I have or rather did have before I came on holiday two Staffys. Sally age app 12 and Rosie 3. Sally is was my baby. She followed me everywhere. She has or rather did have cushings disease well controlled for 3yrs. She has survived brest cancer.
3 day's before we came away she became ill. Refusing to eat very fatigued. Took her to the vets who ran some blood test, her liver function was raised so on the day we went on holiday my son took her to have her belly scanned.
I said to the vet that if they found something awful to kindly but her in doggy heaven. Guess what the message was not passed on and they sent her home. Diagnosis large liver tumour which could have burst ant minute and took her out instantly.
Such a dilemma now with us being miles away. Vets put her on tablets to help her liver function so we could say goodbye when we came home. My poor baby girl. I made the decision to send her to doggy heaven before we got home. My father in law kindly took her for me. Maybe I am a chicken but could not go home and see her wagging her tail knowing that she would have to go sooner than later.
Now I cannot stop the visions in my head, of her going in the car which she loved never to return.
I come home on the 6th. I still have a 3yr old staff at home my Sallys little friend who must be feeling it too and we are not home to fuss her either. God I feel terrible.
