William's been having fun at the park with Owen chasing each other round .

The problem is the soil there is clay and there is a large muddy puddle which they both love running through

Next week is Mid counties Champ show and William should be white but his legs and under belly is clay coloured .Stained by the mud.

Does anyone have any ideas how to get him clean and white again? When I worked with show ponies we used to use blue bag on them but I don't think you can get it now

We need a picture of him, don't you think (w00t)

Hi Helen

I use bio groom blue shampoo on my 'snowy' whippet

its great

Had to swap of Ben's site to mine now I can put a piccie of him on

I don't have any advice, but just wanted to say that William looks lovely, and I wish you all the best at the show  :luck:

One of my horses is (meant to be) grey but delights in turning herself orange rolling in our clay mud  We use purple shampoo which works a treat getting her snowy white again  The slightly dearer ones are more effective & you don't need to use so much. Get them from saddlers/tack shops. Good luck! :p

 for the advise everyone especialy Peony who has located some of the elusive blue bags and they are now one their way to me hopefully the GPO will have them with me in plenty of time for next week :- "

William had a bath today and was sponged of with a weak solution of napisan then thouroghly rinsed again and is now a quite a bit cleaner and whiter than before so hopefully with the help of the blue bags I should have a lovely white dog fo next week

thanks again to everyone especialy Peony

Helen and William -I'll just have to find more mud

 well the grubby greyhound came clean and managed to get 2nd in post grad dog
