To avoid (or add? ) confusion, I have decided to change the spelling of my puppy's name from Guille to Gullet, which is standard Norwegian for "Gold". I still pronounce it in my own dialect, though.

She now also has her own blog: http://gullet.blogs.no

I prefer the Guille rather than Gullet - Suppose Gullet is an English word (a part of your anatomy where your food is digested) :x :x so yes Guille for me but its your choice at the end of the day.

He is beautiful by the way  and Plutt is cute too o:)

Yes, I know, that was the reason I changed the spelling in the first place, but it seems to puzzle Norwegians, so for the blog I opted for the standard spelling. Why, oh why didn't I just call her Lassie or Stella or something?

According to Merriam-Webster online, Gullet can also mean "the space between the tips of adjacent saw teeth" - sounds a bit precarious, not sure if that is any better?

Oh yes, and he sounds like an interesting mix! Can we have a larger photo of Plutt please? What do their names mean again? They are both lovely and Gullet is very pretty.

As for the name Gullet - it so could have been worse! You could have called her Gusset!! :b :teehee:

And what exactly does Gusset mean? I tried looking it up, but could not find any definition that was worse than those for Gullet...

Anyway, thanks for the nice comments.

Gullet means "gold" or "gold nugget" and Plutt... well, it does not mean anything, really, just conjures up something small, cutesy and perhaps a bit mischieveous.

Here is another pic of Plutt the Whippillon (mind you, he is a bit heavier than usual in this pic, as his owner is recovering from a knee injury and therefore he does not get quite as much exercise as he normally would get :( ):

 Shouldn't have asked... Well, you learn something new every day, I guess (and the English language certainly does have a word for just about everything!)

I cant stop laughing    anyway love the picture of Plutt

I am just so proud of Gullet right now, I had to post this picture here as well as on her blog. Here she is seen with her first kill - a little mouse! Well, to be quite honest, she stole the kill from next door's cat Lucifer, but it is a start, is it not?

Perhaps a good contender for the "silly ears" thread, come to think of it... Her ears have been fine up until the last few weeks, if a bit... erm, large, perhaps? ;) I am quite convinced her ears will have a decent shape as she grows up, though.
