Sam was doing really well, wound was healing, went to see the nurse on Thursday who had a look to make sure it wasnt infected. She was surprised that the stitches where due out on the following Tuesday (the surgen had requested this)....

so she made an appointment for sam to come back on Saturday to have them out, so on saturday at 10am i took sam to have his stitches out...

We were back home by 1130 and we had lunch, at 12 sam yawned, and the wound opened up, so i rushed him back to hospital, and today he had to go to surgery again to be stitched up, the scar may be worse now because of this...

We are very very angry, the stitches should never have come out so early....

Poor sam he has had two operations in 6 days, two anastetics, and now he maybe scar'ed worse

But he has been an angel through out

God love him, he is being such a brave boy. Let's hope he heals quickly and that the scar is not too bad. :huggles: Big Hugs to Sam

What a time Sam is having :( ..... poor lad - hope hes feeling better soon. :huggles:

(What on earth was the nurse thinking they needed to come out early beats me. It obviously had not healed enough.) Have you asked if he will need any plastic surgery at all afterwards.??

God bless him, both he and you dont need this.Aswell as being bit when i was 10 i also got slashed by a lunatic in a pub a few years back on my neck, just missing my jugular,as the years have passed you can hardly see it,for a time it was stressful but now you`d never know,i hope time will be a healer in more ways than one for your boy.

Poor Sam :(

Get well soon :huggles:

Feel so sorry for the poor lad... it must have been bad enough to go through it the 1st time...

Poor Sam, I so hope you feel lots better soon. My son's scar looked awful, very lumpy, but now ( 18 months later) you can hardly see it. Make sure everyone gets you load of treats and mags and lots of TLC. <G>. :huggles: :p

Poor Sam :( , hope he is feeling better really soon and hope the scar is not so noticeable, remember he has youth on his side and with a bit of luck as he grows it may not be as noticeable, as everyone else has said he has been one brave boy, :luck: :luck: :luck:

I wondered why you weren't there. Sorry to read about this. Poor Sam. :huggles:

TBH we have had the worse week going, i cant beleive Sam has had to have a general An twice in 6 days because someone made a decision without looking at his notes or discussing it with a doctor or the surgen....

He is worried it will split open again when they take out the stitches...

It was bad enought the first time, he asked me what would happen if he didnt wake up  , and he had to go through it all over again, to say we are mad is putting it very mildly

Sorry i didnt let anyone know i wasnt able to make it to the champs....glad you all had a great day, well done to the winners and half and full coats (is that right :b )

i dont have anything else booked in i will have to have a look and see when the next open is....

Sam would like to thank everyone, i am bowled over at the responses we have had, you are all truley wonderfull people :huggles:
