Had A Bad Day.

I hope both dogs recover quickly. :luck: :luck:

That's awful, Poor girls. :( I hope their ok.

Poor Gabbitas31 you certainly have had hard luck today. Adders is somthing we never think of over here, but I am sure they are out there somewhere. You are in our thoughts at this time in your life. I know how much you care for your dogs, like ouselves they are part of the family life. I think your Leagh is a sister of our Miss Amber ( Roses Breeding ) I hope your beautiful dogs pull through, the vaccines are very good these days. There is a lesson/warning for all of us there.

Yes, Margaret leia is a litter sister to you little Amber, she as made such an impact on my life i can't think what i would do if she, well you know what i mean. Thanks for your good wishes all my good friends in Ireland. ;) Di

I would just like to say a Big Thank you to every one who as sent their good wishes to both Magpie and little Leia, (Trelawney's Girl) all your posts are very much appreciated at this very worrying time,. Steve & Di.

Oh my god poor girls! Fingers crossed there both ok! Stupid snake! :( let us all know whats what! dee

Will deffo let you all know tomorrow when I've been back up the vets and seen them both, ;) Di

OMG, cant believe what I've just read- you even asked if we'd seen any adders, didnt you?

Like you, adders were the last thing I worried about there when it was so cold......... Poor Leia and Magpie :( Sending them hugs.

Hope they will be fine, Diane, will be thinking of you all :luck: :luck:

Just an add on......I think most of the vets dont carry anti venom as standard- Treliske Hospital used to supply the local vets, on request, but have withdrawn this.

They dont normally stock it as it only lasts a few days and usually has expired before it has the chance to be used. :(

Good job you found some... I heard there is a practice in Camborne which currently has anti venom.

Sorry to hear this bad news Di :( hope both dogs make a full recovery

I know, how the hell are they out in this weather and we were nearly back to the van too, it was a very black adder not the brown one's I've seen in the past, (this was the first adder I've seen this bloody summer, (have been staying away from the lost church because of these bloody snakes. I'm going up to see them both later. Di
