We've just gotten back from THE best walk on Boulmer beach  Glorious sunshine, tide waaaay out for miles so Tina had acres of sand to gallop on and we met a few other doggy friends - two & half wonderfully relaxing hours - it just doesn't get much better, does it! :huggles:

We started off playing with her ball-on-a-rope which she loves and then met a couple we know through chatting to them as they walk their dogs too (our hounds are such a great way to meet folks). They have two ex-racers so Tina had a lope around with them for a while. Then we continued on along the beach and Madam found some stinky seaweed to roll in! By the time I'd caught up with her she was rotten!!! :x

Then we met up with a couple who had a collie-X and we had a few minutes' chat with them as Tina played with their dog and then we were joined by a couple with two Springers and Tina REALLY loved these two  She was haring around them in big circles and even followed them into the sea!!! Normally she won't go past her ankles (fetlocks?) but with these two she was running around and splashing water everywhere and SWIMMING!!!!!!! (w00t) It was fabulous watching her having such a great time and I was really kicking myself at forgetting my camera!!! I could have got a great video of her

She's now crashed out asleep on her bed, absolutely knackered  Looking at the pic I can see a couple of grazes where she's caught herself again but they're nowt to worry about :- " She's always picking up the odd nick here and there and they normally heal up within a day or two :b

It's made me realise that we really DO need another whippet for her as she looked SO happy today having fun with other dogs

It sounds as though you had the perfect walk. There is just something about whippets on a beach  Aww i'm not surprised she is sleeping now with all the fun she has had running about :huggles: She is gorgeous

I'm 'supposed' to use the time she's asleep to catch up on the ironing and writing a letter but *whoops* I'm spending far too much time on here  :b :- "

She'll be raring to go again this afternoon  I'll probably take her over the Pastures once Neil goes to work :D

 aww bless her ,they just love the beach dun they so much space for em to bomb around my lot love it :D

I love it when walks are perfect like that - don't think you'll hear too much from her for a few hours!

AHHH.... SHE IS BEAUTIFUL. I LOVE HEARING ABOUT TINA. YOU AND NEIL ARE AS BESOTTED WITH HER AS MY OH AND I ARE ABOUT OUR MOLLIE( SHE IS BLACK AND WHITE TOO )

It's great when they have had such a good time that all they then want to do is sleep - gives you time to catch up on K9. Never mind the ironing

awa! look at her all curled up there

you diffenatly need to remember your camera next time.

sounds like a fab walk :huggles: :huggles:

Ahhh, look at her. She's obviously had a fantastic time and is dreaming about her adventures.

I love reading about Tina's exploits too. She looks a bit camera shy in that piccie doesn't she...but we definitely need some more photos of her on her walks.

Sounds like the perfect walk.  I so love watching dogs running on the beach and in the sea. :huggles:

sounds like another whippy will have a lovely home with all those walks and whippy fun

The Northumberland Coast really is fabulous, we are so lucky!! Sounds like Tina is having a great time with you. Had some lovely early mornings at Druridge recently, there is a pair of owls who are so tame these days, I alternate between watching Rifle and watching them lol!!!
