Trying to train 7 month old Lagotto on a Halti Harness - not having much success. Anyone got experience of using these? Howl long did it take to stop your dog pulling? Any advice would be much appreciated.

To be honest, I accept tools like these can help with training not to pull, but I'm not convinced they can make it happen without some training too.

Dogs have a natural instinct to pull against anything that restrains them - we do too, if I held you, you'd try to get away. If you are interested in the theory, it's called oppositional reflex. Anyway,we need to help them learn that when they feel the lead tighten, they ease back rather than pulling forward.
