all the best geoff why did your lass laugh after she said that she hoped you enjoyed your pressy,

what was the pressy then. lets be all knowing ?

First of all, thanks to all my k9 friends for my cards and pressies

You certainly know who your friends are when its your birthday .

Well Maurice if you really want to know, and like my mate Steve says, rules are rules :D I'll bloody well tell you

The day went like this, 7am I had to cook a full English breakfast for me and my thoughtfull partner  while she laid sleeping

After washing all the pots and pans, I proceeded to open my cards and pressies :)) the first card I opened was from Hazel, the usual witty verse about the down falls of reaching the big 60 :( followed by a ps. stating that she would have put a £100 in the card, but she had already stuck the envolope down plus she couldn't find where I had hidden my wallet .

Then when I opened my last card from a well knowen k9 er I was on a high again :)) 40 bloody quid   both

Sorry to babble on Maurice, but you did ask

I then spent some quality time with my family  that was until some stupid b.....d suggested that we take some flowers to the cemetry :(

Then to top it off, I was asked by one of my sons if I had made a will out and could he have the ford transit if anything should happen to me

I then spent the evening reading some letters that came early on in the week, first was about me being entitled to free heating allowance

Then another one saying that I will get free precriptions

Plus a free bus pass  so now I can have a free trip to see my very old mate midlander Keith over at Stoke

Then it was time to take my medication before retiring to bed, simvastatin, ramipril, omeprazole, aspirin, 2 puffs of ventolin, 2 puffs of seretide, then my viagra  and thats why Hazel was laughing Maurice

ps. A verse on one of my cards sums up being 60

You were born when things were rationed

And men had Brylcreemed hair,

When clothes were all old fashioned, and

Bananas still were rare!

You remember long hot summers,

When winters were all cold,

Do you know why you can do this?....

...because you're bloody old!

Don't you wish you'd never asked Maurice!!!!!!!!

lol! Glad you had a great day!

p.s. Can you leave me Penny? :- "
