how consistant a hare catcher was your dogs pre ban

just out of interest.my own whippet dog was very

consistent taking twos quite regulary hes the only

whippet that i have owned that could do this in

20 years of owning them ;)

Looks like rabbit. It could though be an example of a poor malnourished northern type brown hare unheard of , of course in Norfolk and elsewhere. :- "

If the rabbits are that big!

You should be able to put a saddle on a hare.

Thank goodness I'm only a 'country boy' from the flat-lands.

It's definately a hare you can tell by it's jacket and back legs. :thumbsup:

Is it me? I cant see a real northern hare in there mate? leveret if there is one I think. :))
 
what law was given to whippets on hares pre-ban and what constiyuted a good dog? was it 1/2 or 2/3 or were courses awarded on points as per greyhounds.
 
What date did the ban come about,as i see the date on the pic is 07/10/06.

They were judged on the same system as the greyhound but gave a shorter slip (35/50yds)

why would the date of the ban be an issue with this picture? There are no illegal quarry in it! They are all rabbits, which are not effected by the ban.
