Hello,
ive been looking to get a regular delivery of dog food and was just wondering are they reliable with deliveries and the value for money you get. My dog eats pedigree wet food with dry biscuits but im having mobility issues so needing it delivered.

Tails.com are good for delivery but it's not as great a food as the marketing would have you believe - if you ask for specific things like for example both poultry free and low protein (as an example, I forget the details) they can't actually provide these. A friend uses it, it does get delivered on time but it seems expensive for what it is and her dog's poos are somewhat spectacular.

I normally refer people to www.allaboutdogfood.co.uk for independent ratings of dog food. They score foods from 0 to 5, and it's a useful source of information. Many suppliers will tell you who does home delivery, I use Gentle (4.8 out of 5) and get it delivered free. You may not find a rating for Tails as it has several mixes.

Yes I use them and it's brilliant. My dog loves the wet and the dry food.
They have a 1 months free trial or a 2 week free trial

TWOWEEKSFREE is for 2 weeks & £2 P&P
OR
PATCHXUN Is for 1 month & £1 P&P

Seems a no brainer haha.

It can be cancelled at any time also

I wonder what is most important to you.
Maybe a convenient regular delivery, good quality/grain free, or just a food that your dog likes.
The food that you mention, Tails.com is not a very good product if you want to feed a good quality.
Grains (wheat, maize, RICE, barley), and glutens are of no benefit to our canine pets.
Our dogs in the wild do not hunt wheat or rice, or any grain in the wild. Their digestive systems are not designed for these products.
If you are looking for a good quality product that would be more appropriate for your dog, I would suggest following @JoanneF 's suggestion and have a look at the
www.allaboutdogfood.co.uk She also mentions the Gentle product which is delivered FREE.

Sorry but this comes across as a bit condescending. OP has mobility issues and just wants to feed her dog as best as possible and have it delivered. I feed tails and Ted gets on with it better than he did AVA etc which supposedly scores 4. Something on all about dog food. Tbh dogs are scavengers by nature and Ted's favourite food is horse poo... pretty sure tails is more nutritious than that

Im sorry you thought I was being condescending. It wasnt intended as such it was intended as a straight answer to a previous question. The OP said they were looking for value for money and that the dog now eats pedigree.

That choice has nothing to do with mobility. At the source now used be it shop or online store there is the oppertunity to compare products, instore this is done by reading the list of ingredients. Or asking a staff member 'what is a good dog food'? The OP is obviously able to use a pc because they are now considering online deliveries so there was always the oppertunity to read, google or compare dog foods. Mobility does not come into it. My husband is a dementia patient and even he can tell that a product that lists only 4% meat in its dry biscuit is not good for a dog.

I realise dogs are scavengers and Murphy didnt do well on the very top brand dry food we got for him that was 69% meat. But really this had nothing to do with the OP's disability and more about taking the time to reserch what you feed..

To the OP it's always worth just ringing your local pet shop and asking if they deliver. We live in the back of beyond but in our nearest little town an independent very small pet shop delivers in bulk. And will order most things specially. Sometimes small traders can outdo the big.
