some B******D poisoned our dogs, (a lurcher pup and a terrier pup). After blood tests and a serious vets bill, we still dont no what they were poisoned with or by who?? this is very annoying because the lurcher which we bred ourselves took five years in the making! i would love to know what type of A*****E poisons someone elses dogs?

Normally someone whose jealous, :luck: with your dogs hope there ok. Hope you find out who did it too, just cowards to take whatever grudge they have with you out on your animals.

 THANKS!! :) :) i dont think anyone could have a grudge on us and the photos are in my gallery if you want to have a look. they are perfectly fine, well the terrier has lost the plot a bit cos its a wee bit simple

Are you sure they haven't eaten anything dodgy, there are lots of things which are poisonous to animals, lots of them I didn't even know about before being on here :sweating:

What makes you think someone has done it? not doubting just wondered

Glad they are ok :luck: :luck:

the vet said it was poisoning and they had the symptoms of parvo, but we had a whippet pup that wasnt vaccinated yet and it was out with the other dogs so if parvo was an option the whippet pup would have been wiped out first

A friend of mine had her dogs poisoned, and lost several of her own beautiful dogs. She is a small scale dog breeder and also lost the best part of a litter that was ready to go. As the case was investigated by the police, eventually 3 vet practices became involved, but the poison itself was never identified, though it would seem to be something that is passed from mothers to pups, and probably between dogs who had injested the poison and those who hadnt, like a virus. The vets did asertain, that the dogs definitely HAD been poisoned and that anything locally available to the dogs, such as vegetation could be ruled out. Sadly to this day, she is unaware who she was targetted by, be it animal rights people, neighbours, jealous dog people or someone with a personal vendetta. She is the nicest person with the nicest family you could wish to meet. She breeds quality dogs & always has a waiting list. How anyone could do this to an animal is beyond me.

cheers bothros for that reply, why thanks very much for your concern. i did find a dead cat at my back gate though and im seriously thinking that this had something to do with our dogs being poisoned. im also a pigeon fancier as well as a serious hunting fanatic, and i didnt think that because of my hobbies then my dogs would be targetted next....

P.S AND THE CAT??.... NOT GUILTY!! quite frequently the cat that was found dead belonged to a couple of eastern europeans down the street, maybe they were responsible? MAYBE?

wrong, inhuman scum i call em

but why my dogs thats the thing im trying to work out?

it may be down to your hunting beliefs sadly , these people often cause far more cruelty then a skilled terrier man or lurcher man! ignorance im afraid and bloody do gooders etc! so called animal rights protesters

i never ever had myself down as skilled at anything lol. i just go out with the terrier and the lurcher, if i get a rabbit or maybe 2 im happy at that. i have myself down as a 'do-gooder', because i am gettin rid of unwanted VERMIN.

exactly but the propaganda in the media makes out that all hunters are evil and all animals should live in peace and harmony! then they go out and lead packs of hounds to their deaths !!! i hate rats and would think nothing of killing one if i dared get close enough! (w00t) but thats evil according them!! disease ridden blooming things want eradicating !!!

again ignorance, sadly

i think that people who come on this and post that they are killing one hundred this and one hundred that are a bit exaggerated. a bit like these minshaw lurchers killing 3 out of 2... CRAP...

i nearly lost my Oto a few years ago, though not because i was singled out as a target but because but because there were some poisoned rabbits around the chicken farm near us, probably put out for the local foxes to find.

i'd always allowed my lot to dispatch the Myxi rabbits round there but now if there is one that doesn't look right i dispatch it myself.

hope your dogs recover fully :luck: :luck: :luck:

My brothers dog was poisened by his next door neighbours. In a feud that was ongoing for almost 2years. It all started when my brother kindly asked them if the could turn their music down as the children were in bed after all it was 1in the morning, but they were druggies and didnt understand how to communicate! they started by verbally abusing my brothers family and even attacked his wife smashed their windows ect.. the police were informed and it seem to have stopped. My brothers australia shepard seemed poorly and was not eating the vet said he has eaten some rats poisen! which the neighbour eventually bragged about. Shep was so ill it cost nearly £1000 in vets bill which my brother couldnt afford luckily the pdsa paid. Shep never recoverd from this. He has been rescuded from an abusive home and was very hand shy if you stroked him when my brother first got him he wouldf lie on the floor and shake. He refused to eat and eventually became anorexic the only kind thing to do was to put him down. He was a beautiful dog and we all loved him dearly.

I hope who ever poisened your dogs gets punished for what they did it is disgusting to hurt a defensless animal and make me very mad

I had a bengal cat that was a great rabbiter, she was poisoned by the estate poisoning rabbits. she survived.

i think before any animal rights people are wrongly accused of poisoning a dog that the facts ought to be ascertained. i think poisoning is a much more personal thing usually done as a means to get at someone.i had a very promising liver and tan dobermann bitch poisoned at a show many years ago.we thought she had been given some form of poisonous berries to eat as her vomit contained little red things.but when my vet looked at them under the microscope they were in actual fact pieces of flesh from her stomach.shed been given a corrosive substance but we never found out what it was.i stopped showing her and i stopped showing dogs for some time before i got the nerve to go back to it.i kept looking at everyone around me thinking was it you?its a horrible thing cos you dont usually find out who has done it but you look at everyone with suspicion :(
