Yes I was awake at 4 am this morning to howls and more howls - weve been out, been fed, had poos wees,, been in my bed........... been back downstairs , weve played -........... who said puppies were lovely. (w00t) I want -_- -_- -_-

Joanna dont tell me you are fast asleep and Pam you told me you let Jakey out at this time - where is everyone.

Help................. I know you all told me so.

  Well YOU wanted another puppy :- " Thats a different name

It's temporary Janis, you will have to be strong it is very hard but once kobi has settled in you will have to try to let him know that you are not going to get up at that time.

We had the same with Spry the first few nights were really hard and we indulged her something shocking getting up cuddling alsorts then after a bit it was enough is enough and I made sure she was ok but didnt give in(wasnt easy) and now all is well.

Dont lose faith it will be short term honest look at me and Tina and Joanne, all went through the same

I didn't have that problem Janis, not this time around :D I just popped Fynn in the bed with me, and all was hunky dory :)) 8) 8) Seriously, if you want sleep and harmony, it is worth a try. 2 months on, every-thing is great (apart from     )I didn't crate, and I just put a little bed next to mine, it's still there, and the little monkey does get into bed when not invited some-times (w00t)

It will all be OK, really

 Sorry Joanna must have been thinking of someone else, just letting janis know she is definatly not alone

I was definitely in the land of nod at that time. Poor you! It's lonely at that time of the morning isn't it?

Wouldn't make a fuss of him if you go down to let him out for a wee. Just a quick out, praise him for peeing, straight back in, and back to bed. Don't encourage him to get you up at this time every morning. :- " Try and leave it 10 mins later each morning.

I thought the thread that Helen put on FAQ questions gave some very good advice, especially the method she eventually adopted. Hang in there...it gets so much better after the first week once the shock of it all wears off. :p

He's lovely btw!

yes Janis, Lesley is right, I too was getting up at that time in the morning with Binx, but it was only because of Paula's hard work toilet training him and he was just letting me know that he needed to go!

five months old tomorrow WOW!! and sometimes he still whines at that time in the morning to go toilet but I'd rather that than wake up to a mess

it will get better I promise :huggles: just look at your little darling aint he worth the lack of sleep? I know Binx is

Thanks so much everyone - it is really appreciated. it started this morning at 4.10 pm, so after playing, cuddles food walk outside etc etc I finally decided to stay up. (w00t) Anyway at 6.45 we all fell asleep on the sofa - puppy Kodi, Oscar and me - pointless going back to bed. I will probably suffer tonight.

Oscar was so good - he was a bit older though and had already been separated from his mam. This pup has done everything in one day, separation, travelling, new surroundings, new Uncle Oscar, new mum and dad, new bed so I cant expect too much I know -_- -_- sorry was I going to sleep -_- there - cant imagine why.

Well we will see how tonight goes. ?? Fingers crossed.

Heres another pic - makes it all worth the while.

Joanna - who would hae thought,a while back, that you would have been giving someone positive advice :D :D

What a difference a few weeks make - it all works out ok in the end doesn't it.....or so i'm told :- "

So glad things have settled down for you   I bet all the worrying was worth it - two whippies living in harmony

Can't see Digger taking too kindly to sharing his Dad tho (w00t)

Life is certainly strange Deb! My boys seem to be buddies of sorts now, and this pup is a lot easier than Archie was :D
