I am just back from dropping Sidney off at his new home :)) He was due to go to the uk a few weeks back but the transport got cancelled and we had to wait for our next slot for him. While we were waiting, a lovely home came up here. He has gone to live with a lovely retired lady that lives on her own and has lots of time and love to give him. I thought I would be sad leaving him but when I saw him stretched out on the sofa, cuddle up with her, it made me so happy. I will be back to do a follow up visit in a few weeks so I will take some photos then. I hope they both have a very happy life together :huggles:

What good news...cant wait to hear your updates....well done.

Fantastic :D

I rehomed a rescue to a retired elderly lady several years ago. I got into trouble with whippet rescue who said that at 67 the lady was too old to take on a 6 year old whippet! She had had a whippet all her life and was energetic and fit. Caden now renamed, landed in doggy heaven. Lots of walkies on the moors, his own armchair and an owner who has supported him through his many health problems and loves him to bits.

I am so pleased for Sidney, it sounds like he has landed in doggy heaven too 8)

That's good news. Hope Sidney and his new owner enjoy each others company. :luck:

That is such good news and, with the transport to the UK being canceled it was obviously meant to be  . I have everything crossed for Sydney and look forward to hearing how he settles in. :luck: :luck: :luck:

It sounds like a perfect match for him, he'll be loved to bits and totally spoilt as he deserves :D

Good luck Sydney! :luck: :luck:

Sounds perfect

Good luck Sydney :luck:

:luck: :luck: to Sidney, sounds like he has found a lovely home, perhaps it was fate that his transport was cancelled....

That's great news as he looked just a bit special

Congratulations!!! What a lovely home Sidney has found :D

Good luck to him and his new "servant" :luck:

Lovely to hear the good news - good luck to the gorgeous Sidney and his new owner :luck: .

Lovely news   Hope he has a lovely life :D

Unfortunately Sidney has bounced back after just two days in his new home

Oh no , poor Sidney

Hope the next one works out for him :luck: :luck: :luck:

What a shame when people won't even give a dog a chance to settle properly :(

He's a lovely boy, I'm sure his forever home is around the corner :luck:

How on earth can people give up after two days?? What was their excuse, or can't you say? What a waste of everyone's time, and poor Sidney must be all confused. :(

Well, it's their loss - he'll be someone's best friend soon enough :luck:

Oh, poor Sidney :( That is very unsettling for him and 2 days is hardly long enough for him to even adjust to a new sofa, let alone a new owner

As Esty says, you maybe can't say what the problem was but I'm sure it was the human and not handsome Sidney :D
