I would like to share my thoughts about the Heart of England Pedigree Racing Club. I'm new to keeping Whippets (but not dogs) and I have a Whippet Pup who is 4 1/2 months old who I wanted to socialize into the racing world. I went along to the Club in Shuttington about 5 weeks ago and introduced myself and Pepper and Explained to the People there that I was keen in getting Myself and Pepper involved in Pedigree Racing.

The people there greeted me with open arms and explain the rules of the racing world for pedigree Whippets and that I can start trialing from 6 months of age etc but I was more than welcome to come along every week to watch and allow pepper the chance to take in the racing environment.

Gradually I have started helping around the club by assisting in preparing for the race meeting.

I would like to say what a great bunch of people they are at Shuttington,the sharing of knowledge is first class. It's a pleasure to go along to every Saturday.
