Hello all!

just (3 days ago) picked up my Belgian Malinois male puppy, Bodie

For the record, I did a lot of research on the breed as it’s been a dream dog. I was a bit naive as he is a handful. But a loving handful.

Just starting the training during his meal times.

Hoping to get involved in the community and learn from others

Hi and welcome to you and Bodie:). Lovely photo, very cute!
(still wouldn't have a pup if you paid me though, I still remember the hard work and it was many, many moons ago!!:D:D:D)

Those eyes..... :emoji_blue_heart:

Welcome to you and Bodie.

Funny you say that. It’s been about…26 years since I had a puppy - technically my mum did all the hard graft back then

and, slightly naively, nearing 50, I said, “Well, can’t be that hard…”

Wow. I’m an idiot. But still - I love my boy!

I think we all feel like that and then wonder what the hell we were thinking when the pup arrives, sleepless nights, house a complete tip, nothing is safe, standing in he rain waiting for the little darling to pee and so on....

Just think you won't have any spare time to get into any mischief...so thats a bonus... ;)

:D:D 26 years or just 1...it doesn't make any difference...for some reason you only remember having a pup is 'hard work' but it is just a fact being repeated in our heads. Once you have to deal with the actual pup, the reality of the hard work is entirely different from the idea of it. For some reason we forget things so quickly or is it that our minds want to erase and numb the 'pain'?? o_O
We've had 9 pups in the house last 3 years and it doesn't get much easier.....you just jump into deep abyss and get on with it...

Your pup beauuutiful.
