First time for me on a doggie forum.

We have two dogs - Bella a 10 yr old brindle staffie and Lexi a 13month old Malamute X Northern Inuit, Jack who is an 18.1hh Shire horse, two cats one ginger called Molly and Lulu.who is black.

I cannot lie, I am here for a reason as we are having a lot of problems with Lexi the Malamute X, so will go and look for the appropriate place to ask some questions. Thanks Gwen.

Welcome Gwen.

A shire horse now that is impressive.

Hello and welcome to Dog Forum!

I am Anna :)

Thanks for the lovely welcome and I am sorry I have not been back before now, but been busy, busy, busy.

Hello Gwen.

We have a brindle staffy girl too, (tiger brindle), fourteen years old, called Leah. I also have a Jack Russell and a horse, but mine's Thoroughbred, not Shire!

hello gwen!

I used to exercise my teachers shire horse cross when i was at school. She was lovely, such a sweet funny beast. She would only go faster than a trot if facing towards home, but she was amazing when she did move, like thunder! She was very playful and silly, and she just knew how powerless i was really, but she was very very very good natured in a stubborn lazy kind of way. I loved her. I'm planning on getting myself one if i win the lottery. :)

I read your post the other day about your malamute crosses poorly tummy and the worm treatment thing. I have heard of it before as a treatment for asthma, i was trying to convince my mum to try it as she has it very severely, and ibs too. Thankyou for reminding me, as i've started researching it again; my mum was not at all keen on the idea, but its becoming more acceptable/available now it seems. I'm going to see what more i can find out.. Would be interesting to know what you have found out, or think about it.

There will be plenty of folk that will have some suggestions for you, so do ask away!
