This years Xmas 'do' with work is an 80's theme and I've reluctantly agreed to go in fancy dress. Bought myself a lovely :- " spandex electric blue dress, matching patent stillettos and some lurex glitter legwarmers (I must be mental)

Anyway to complete the look I've been trying to find some ideas for hair and make-up but the internet is pants for ideas. I know it was bright and OTT but I seem to have a mental block (wonder why?! ) So any advice, tips or if your feeling really brave, old photos would be much appreciated. If you come up with some good ideas folks I may post photos next week. :b

Cheers  Jac

Fantastic! I would love to go to an 80's party- it would take me back to my youthful days as a New Romantic! :clown:

You need a white or brightly coloured cropped jacket with serious shoulder pads :*

Depending on what your hair is like...

If it's straight and in a bob shape you could do it coming down over one eye like a Human League hairstyle! God does that really show my age?

Or if it's wavy or short you could spray it into either spiky on top or just really 'big hair'

Then you need very heavy makeup, and strong bright pink blusher UNDER the cheekbones. Lovely! Please be brave and send photos- can't wait to see them

Thanks, for the tip Liz, I completely forgot about shoulder pads! I think it's going to be a big hair jobby either that or crimpers if I can get hold of some! Can you still buy blue eyeliner / mascara?

I'm resorting to image searches of Cyndi Lauper now!
