HI I HAVE RESENTLY MOVED HOUSE FROM A HOUSE WITH A GARDEN (GRASS) TO A HOUSE WITH A YARD (CONCRETE), I HAVE 2 DOGS BOTH

VERY WELL TRAINED WHEN USING THE COMMAND "DO A WEE WEE' THEY WITH GO TO THE TOILET WEE OR POO, THAT WILL BE ON THE

BEACH GARDEN ETC, HOWEVER SINCE MOVING I LET THEN OUT INTO THE YARD AND SAID 'DO WEE WEE' AND THEY SNIFF A BIT AND THEN

LOOK AT ME LIKE I'M TOTALLY NUTS!! AND WILL NOT GO, I THINK THEY THINK THAT THEY WILL BE DOING SOMETHING WRONG, SO I HAVE

BEEN TAKING THEM OVER TO A GRASSED AREA TO LET THEM DO THERE BUSSINESS, WHICH IS NOT IDEAL AS I HAVE A 7 MONTH OLD AND A

7 YEAR OLD AND MORNING'S ARE BUSY ENOUGH WITHOUT HAVING TO PUT THE DOGS ON THE LEAD CARRY THE BABY AND GET MY 7 YEAR

OLD OUT THE HOUSE TO PEE BEFORE THE SCHOOL RUN, AND LAST THING AT NIGHT WHEN KIDS ARE IN BED, IT;S BECOMMING A

NIGHTMARE, I WONDERED IF ANYONE HAS HAD A SIMALAR PROBLEM THAT MAY BEABLE TO GIVE ME SOME ADVICE

Dogs deserve walks so ok your mornings are hectic but get up a wee bit earlier and get them ooot, sorry but thats why we get dogs isnt it????

It's difficult once you've trained them to go on a particular surface (like grass) for them to know it's okay to go on a new surface. If you have a cue word you use for them to do their business then use it and if and when they do go on the new surface praise like crazy and treat them so they learn that doing their business out there means praise and treats. You can wean the treats out once they're using it reliably. In the meantime, you'll just have to adjust your schedule to make those short walks across the road, or you could end up with them learning to do it in the house :( When they do it other places reinforce their cue words. Tell them what you want and when they do reward with praise and treats there too. They will learn the cue word and doing their business means reward and it will help them transfer that to the new area.
