CAN ANYONE HELP US WITH IDEAS AS TO WHAT IS TROUBLING OUR FIVE YEAR OLD WHIPPET BITCH.
History.
Six weeks ago:-
1. Third eyelid almost covering eyes.
2. Fell off settee, loss of balance, trying to mouth chest, ( thought it was a stroke)
3. Walking backwards, head into chest, bumping into walls and rebounding off (like a toy car) crying, mouthing chest, not wanting anyone near her. This went on for thirty minutes. Suddenly stopped like a statue eyes glazed, head down into chest. This lasted five minutes. Just as suddenly she was fine again.(we then thought it may have been a fit of some kind). Later that night same thing happened, but this time she wanted reasurance. This again happened in the early hours of the morning but more serverely. (vets kept her in for observation which led to several tests being carried out).She has had numerous blood tests and x-rays, a liver biopsy, a liver bile test, an mri scan of her skull, and a spinal cord tap.(all of which have proved negative) Xena is having another mri on her neck next week.
Xena is now on steriods which are controlling things.
Xena was bitten on the nose about ten weeks ago, I did not take her to the vets as I did not think they could do anything, it has healed on its own.
Xena has baffled out four vets, does anyone have any ideas{ANYTHING WOULD BE WELCOME}
Thank you.
