Do you have any aloe vera Keith? If you have a plant break a stem of ad rub the goo from inside it onto the wound. If not some aloe vera cream will do the same

Blimey Helen that was quick, thank you, will this stop the irritatation

keith xx

Give it a clean with warm salted water Keith, and like Helen says Aloe Vera or Lavender Oil if you have any, if you're going to buy something if you have a big pet shop or equine shop nearby Genetian violet spray is very good I use it on all cuts n scratches, if not wound cream or powder

Hope it heals quickly :luck: :luck:

Can't add anything to the good advice that as already been given. Just hope Sally is on the mend soon. :luck:

If she's let you Keith, try and trim the fir from around the wound.

This will help stop it from getting tangled up when it starts to heal.

And the same as the others, godd wash in salt water and a few drops of lavender oil.

Was over feeding time again the scrapping was, my lady fed em, they take libertys with Ruth, some folks feed there dogs seperately, i dont, they get fed together, by that i mean at the same time, but what i do know is there feeds have to be a safe distance apart, then things are fine, i actually like problems, cos i like solving em, i did trim some of the hair back hellybobs, and bathed in salt water, but thank you

Keith,I will swear by Arnica.

It was a very knowledgable dog owner friend of mine who uses it on her beloved dogs for when they bump themselves, have a wound,to stop bleeding, shock or healing wounds.

Our whippet ,Jack, snapped his dew claw nail(they were in tact when we got him aged 7 months).Never seen so much blood  Vet tried everything to stop the bleeding,we were worried he would just bleed to death.Arnica worked and stopped the bleeding promptly :D

You can get some from Boots Chemist in a little container. They are in two strenghths 30c and 6c apparently the latter is the stronger dose. Can also be found in cream and gel formula. We keep some at home always.

When Chilli, our cat, scratched Alfie's eye(our long haired chihuahua trogg :huggles: ),the vet was surprised how well it has healed, the cat scratch tore his cornea and the Arnica worked a treat.

Try it

Get well soon Girls :huggles:

Arnica is a lifesaver!! Tablets from Holland and Barrett or Boots, also gel and cream. Regularly used the tablets and cream after falls or kicks from horses for myself, cream/gel for bruising on kids, horses and dog!! :D

Hi keith and all...Another great thing to have in the house is HIBISCRUB. You can get it from your vet.

Wet some cotton wool and apply this to the wound...It is liquid. It cleans wounds up beautifully and this is what your vet would use if you had taken Sally in to see him.

I too like to feed all my dogs together but I have to separate Topsy and MIllie. They had a dreadful scrap over a cat which had the cheek to come into the garden and hide up a tree

They had dreadful wounds and I cleaned them up with salt water as always and then took them to the vet to check them over....They used Hibiscrub...REally ..It`s wonderful !

Hugs to Jill and Sally X
