working/coursing stock i believe karmarkdale have used Laguna and Mike Brown lines in their breeding

thanks for that- he is our pet and we dont intend to work him although it is interesting to know what his descendants used to do.

cheers for the quick reply :)) were new to this K9 thing

cheers :D

Bluestreak Lanfranco at Sufeina was bred by Cathy Brown (Dragonfly) who is on here. He was/is a stunning blue whippet who was a successful coursing dog.

Angel Dust was bred by Steph Ely out of her Midnight Dill and is by my black dog Bean (Fleetway Ebony Edition). Trish G on here has two bitches from Midnight Dill's sister Ebony Black Pearl. Moriarty on here has a son of Angel Dust (Guto) though from her mating with Harvest Fayre.

I hope that you have as much fun with your boy as I have with Bean. :luck:

Thats interesting :b the different schools of thought

Personally I never put a muzzle on untill my dogs start to run with others, by this time they are so focused on the lure that they dont notice the presence of the muzzle if its popped on at the last moment

Good luck :luck:

Ditto

he has been hand slipped over the previous weeks, without muzzle .this was his 2 time out of the traps 1st time with a muzzle .looking goodcouple more times to get him trapping ,then he needs to go in with another dog.

whats peoples thoughts off level, giving start, taking start from a faster dog coming past, i.m,o i like to give a slower dog start so he will go past :sweating: :luck:

All of those David, but probably to start with, try to find an older dog that he can go past without much trouble. You can start them level on the first run, then give him a yard to make up 2nd run etc.

Good luck

in answer to jo smiths question about karmarkdales bloodlines they are bred for looks, temperament and working ability, and at present are doing exceptionally well in all fields. Best of luck to jo and anyone who has whippets. :luck:
