Does anyone have any advise as to how to sort my pup out? Its not me going anywhere, its if I have to/want to take one of the others out without him.

He lauches himself at the front door howling and screaming and generally goes bats**t until we get home.

Can you not make sure that he always has company? My pup is always left with one or both of my other dogs - even if it means doing double walks!!

He is left with my husband and another dog so is not a case of no company its if you try to take one away from him, he will go out by himself its just he hates me taking one away from him.

He is fine if me and my OH go out and leave all three together

Little wotnot

They really loves their mummies dont they :D

I dont know what to suggest Lou other than he'll have to get used to it, so you'll have to keep trying and not give in to him. Perhaps start with them in different rooms in the house, and then Simon taking Daisy & Moz out and leaving Dexter with you, Simon taking him for a walk and you taking the others out and then Simon coming home to an empty house etc until he gets used to lots of different scenarios? I have no idea if it would work but it may be worth a go.

Does he like chewie things? Spidey loves them, perhaps Simon could distract him with a special chew or something?

Good luck

Skye hates to miss out on anything too so when I take Phoebs out without her occasionally like at the weekend to go to BSFA she wandered about moaning all morning :( . She was fine after being taken out for a walk though. Perhaps Simon could take the little monkey out for a while and see if that works. Also if it was me I'd tell him off for throwing himself at the door, sounds a bit alarming (w00t) and do the usual stuff like ignoring bad behaviour and making a fuss of him if he starts to settle down with a chew etc.

:luck: :luck:

PS where's the pics :D

Thanks for the suggestions I'm going to have to be tougher on him and try doing little and often taking the others away from him.

He's not called the Fun Police for nothing.

Umm Connie was just the same (soz) ... It is just like a teenager temper tantrum as they aren't getting their own way and don't want the others going out with out them as they see themselves as being top ... Just have to be harder on mr gobby lol ... good luck .. x

We have started a game plan, so fingers crossed. Today we tried variations of leaving him to see which was worse for him, its me plus other dog, different rooms he doesnt care, simon plus the other 2 thats not so bad, other 2 in garden fine. Try going through front door murder

I must say that Dexter is lovely in every other way, he's clean, responsive, very loving and a joy to own, except if you try to leave him behind
