When indy whent to traning today she did somthing we thought was normal and everyone else thought it realy funny

if anyone gives Indy a treet she wont take it she pushes it away with her noies out of there hand or way from her on the floor unless we take it and pretend to eat some first laceys the same they wont take anything till after we have been pretand food teaters for there royal highnesses. indy did it this morning with the traner twice as he allways gives each dog a cuddle and a treet after class and he said he had never know any dog do that before especaly as she was hunger as it was over her didner time. is it just my whippets that are strange and do this

:p Our Josh used to do this if he didn't like something or thought that there might be something more tasty on offer, and it always used to make us laugh. It was always quite a strong push away as well. I suppose if someone else then takes the treat and makes it look like they're eating it then it becomes much more interesting :- " which then makes them decide they want some!! :D Maybe it is a whippet thing after all! But Muffin just eats what he's given and almost bites your hand off as well! o:)

I found it really funny last night i was making salad and gave Tilly some cellery but she dropped it on the floor :nuke: , bean came over and started eating it.....Tilly then decieded it was the best piece of food she had ever seen and grabbed it off Bean and started eating it even though it looked like she wasnt enjoying it she kept going until it was all gone (w00t)

well they say the other mans grass always looks greener! :- " my first dobe bitch bonnie wouldnt take food from anyone except me.i took her in a pet shop a few times where a friend owned the shop and shed always try to give her a little treat but no she wouldnt take it.i had to rub my hands over it firstto take the smell of them off it before shed eat it.theres one thing for sure, noone will be able to poison them when thayre like that!

That's sweet  o:) .

I would be quite happy to have any dog of mine do that, you never know it may protect them from being baited.

Seams it is quiet coman then I know when we had lacey about 6 months and met her old owner we didnt know it was him and he didnt recognise lacey but was giving his dogs a treet and he offer her one as we whent past she turned her noies up at it he called her an ignorat B*%^^$%^ and since then she only ever took things from us so we allways put lacey doing it down to that insednet hes called her a lot wores since. But with Indy doing it aswell it had us wondering as non of our greyhounds would ever sat know to anything offerd them off anyone

We do that 'test' also at the class Wendy - saying leave leave leave - my two are getting better but Im sure they would snatch it up immediately if I didnt persist with the leave leave leave.....

but think Indy must be very good.
