Hey people i am just curious and forgive me if i sound completley thick. but is this forum just for general disscussion on whippets?

mostly whippets but also greyhounds, lurchers and italian greyhounds, but anyone is welcome even if you don't have any of these :D :D

Hello, welcome to K9 :)

You've posted in General Dog Discussion so you can chat about any dog here. Or have a look round the other forums on the board - you'll see iggys, greyhounds, lurchers and whippets. You can talk about showing and racing, or just read the jokes in Chit Chat!

Have fun

Hi Welcome to K9. I have 4 Whippets and a terrier. Any pix of your Saluki> Do you race, show lure course? I show my Whippets.

Welcome to K9, I don't own a saluki but I've met a couple they were lovely

not got her yet I was just wondering so I would be able to get a few tips from someone with some experience, i am currently doing a course with a girl who breeds them so im speaking to her about them but I think its better to get a few opinions on them :p :p

hi, my mom has a saluki x greyhound. he is so clever but he gets fedup and naughty if he isnt stimulated alot. he really has a mind of his own and if he doesnt want to do some thing you dont stand a chance of making or bribing :- " him to do it. he is also great with the kids, a fantastic ratter at the stables and a real cuddle monster at night especially when its cold.

I gather they have VERY selective hearing when it comes to recall :D but are such beautiful graceful hounds you can easily forgive them :D

There are a lot of saluki x owners on www.lurcher.org and the Advice section may come in handy when you have your own! :- "

Hi and welcome to k9

Dukie on here has Saluki's,I am sure she will be able to share any tips with you about them, she normally posts in the Whippet showing forum so if you go on there you should be able to find her. Hope this helps. ;)

We have a saluki x - very loving and gentle girl in the house, very intelligent, but stubborn. (w00t)
