Hi everyone, I joined a few weeks ago and while reading some of the older posts I realised I should have introduced myself!! (Better late than never)
I live in Lancashire and have 5 dogs, Brodie a Lab X, Tizzy a Collie X and 3 whippets, Folly who is mum to Fern and younger daughter Sky. I sarted showing whips a couple of years ago when I got Folly who was then 3. She had never been shown so it was an uphill battle as I had never done any showing either!! Folly is retired now, but I am showing her eldest daughter Fern and in August her youngest daughter Sky. I will also have Riva, Skys' brother who lives with my friend as Brodie doesn't take kindly to other males in his house if they have a certain couple of items that he no longer has!!!
My introduction to whippets was Ras, a wonderful little black girl. I got her when she was 3 as her previous owners no longer wanted her -she had been knocked down and lost 3 toes on her back paw. I lost her in Jan. 2004, aged 14 1/2 and I still miss her.
I'm divorced which is a good thing as my ex. has developed an allergy to dogs - I would have had to re-home him if we had still been together!!!!!
I'm really enjoying the forum, and look forward to meeting some of you at shows in the future - be warned though - I have a really bad memory for faces, but I'm pretty good at remembering dogs!
