And anyway :) Posh Totty is one of the most un nasty people I know. Be guided by her and others  Have you ever kept pet mice? Might be a good starting point :- " :luck:

PET MICE now that made me lmao  sorry but come on now :- "

i think you have been given the advice most people would have given you, sounds to me like you dont know much about the subject you are asking about...hence the thread.....nothing wrong with that i wouldnt have a clue either...but my point is.....these folks are giving their advice to try and help you and are not trying to be mean by what they are saying!

take their advice and put a hold on mating your dog until you are sure you know what it entails, its not something to be done without the knowledge

well I hope both mice had all their health checks and their pedigrees are compatable or I have totally wasted my time today   :- "

There are already too many unwanted mice in the world. Please consider rehoming some of the little beggars that are nesting under my shed at the moment :p :- "

I pm cmenzies with as much advice as I could give with me not being a breeder. The final decision their family made was responsible as they received good, non-judgemental advice away from this forum. They were being sensible by asking for advice-they did not tell anyone, and neither did anyone ask if their dogs were pedigree etc it was just assumed that the owners were irresponsible and thoughtless just because they were inexperienced. I worked as a Vet Nurse for 15 years and NEVER in that time was a healthy (in mind or body) dog put to sleep because it was unwanted. I notice that the breeding question posed by a Whippet owner has been met with no open posts so one must assume it is OK to slate someone wanting to breed a Cairn but not a Whippet. I am ashamed to have been part of this forum and am now asking to be taken out.
