Hi

Hi all,
My dog ‘Rae’ has just finished her first season. She started 27/01, seemed to go on for ages.
She’s back off lead when in our local park as she is well socialised. I’m a bit concerned as she has snarled at a couple of digs that she is usually love with‍♀️ Is this normal?

Sorry meant to say dogs, not digs

Maybe she still has some smells around her knickers area that excite other dogs and it's just her way of saying " Bog off I'm not interested"

Have you thought of washing her bottom area thoroughly.

Very normal, and as excuseme says. She will still smell interesting but not be interested. I'd say actively keep other dogs away for a few more weeks as some males can try to force mate, even neutered males. She wouldn't get pregnant but could well be injured. Let her tell them off but be ready to step in if it looks as if one isn't going to take NO! for an answer.

Good suggestion, thank you
