I've just seen the advert on tv for butternut box.and the cost of the food.
I've been making my hettie food from scratch now for 7 years.
she came into my life as a pup.7yrs ago.and started her on Lilly's kitchen.wanting the best for her.but did not like the weird stuff that also went into it,so after chats with my vet and internet search.i created my own.which I encourage everyone to do as not only do you know exactly what goes into it.but works out cheaper than wet food.
I use beef and turkey mince.butternut squash. Sweet potato. Green beans.broccoli. carrots.brown rice.bran flakes.and sometimes extra veg.cook it all .weigh and vacuum bag.then freeze.please follow my lead as better for the dog.i freeze all the bags.lasts about 3mth.

I would suggest that following your lead may not suite all dogs as you are including brown rice and bran flakes (these are both grains that many dogs can not tolerate).
You do not mention offal and bone calcium as included, and which are all part of creating a "Complete" and ballanced diet.

Is your home made raw or cooked?

I am quiet sure that a carefully home prepared diet can be beneficial and some are better than the processed kibbles that are loaded with large amounts of cheap grain and fillers.

You do not mention what percentages of each product you add !
Our vets are not qualified nutritionists and neither is all information on the internet.
I would also suggest that you do not encourage everyone as you mention , to follow your home made food mix.

Each to there own.what I do is a better alternative to tinned dog food.and lots of beef and turkey mince.at least 60% without getting anal.but she has kibble as well so all good.

And i don't say what I do is any better or worse.than other dog food.but works for my dog and my daughter's

"Created my own as I encourage everyone to do"
"Please follow my lead as better for the dog".

Maybe if you do not completely understand a dogs nutritional requirements, it would be best for others who also do not completely understand either , if you do not encourage everyone to follow your lead and your ingredients!

Your dogs are lucky that you wish to better their diets and that it suits them.
