Horden Weekend

Thanks to Horden WRC and NNWRF for a great weekend, the track was spot on. Sorry I couldn't make it to the pub on Sat night Kenny,as you know the dogs were too interested in the wildlife down the beach. :D

ps. think this venue should be used more often.

Danny.

yes looking back it was hilarious ( not @ the time) 4 those that dont know wot happened, nikki got weighed and peter never got her lead back on properly so she escaped and shes always been a sod to get back on so off she went on the field 4 a run. theres peter chasing her and me with an onion sack. lenny passed me the big lure which i shook but nikki managed to get it out my hand 4 the rest read kennys post lol she eventually came back for a bacon frazzle crisp or... she was just tired lol

Fantastic weekend thanks to Horden WRC for inviting the NNWRF, what a brilliant venue it is don't know why we hav'nt been before but we'll deffo be back again track is spot on, the cafe is superb along with the good weather and the friendly banter from all who attended what more can you ask for.

It is hoped to make this an annual event with a re-shuffle of dates so as not to clash with the Devon 10 days, and Horden club are going to try and arrange for camping at the track however iff thats not possible the campsite Kenny arranged for us this weekend was spot on, lovely overlooking the sea and just a short walk down to a beautiful sandy beach it was really relaxing so much so we couldn't get Danny out of his caravan Sat night.

Thanks to all who helped out over the two days and all who donated trophies, money and raffle prizes there were loads of them, Thanks to everyone who attended you made it what it was intended to be a no pressure fun weekend. Well done to all winners and thanks Sharon for putting the results on

also well done to the following

best turned out whippet MISTY'S DOUBLE

best turned out scratch MR. SHEENE

most impressive bitch FLY BABY put in an excellent performance first time out after her seasonal lay off of 12 weeks

most impressive dog CRACKELLE and a lot more to come from this little dog

most impressive scratch TARKOW never thought we would see Sonny grace a track again after the injury he sustained 12 months ago but what a performance he gave on his first race back against Sean's brilliant SHAY

overall weekend points winner NO JOE receiving the *CHICANE* MEMORIAL TROPHY

Last but not least a big thanks to Kenny,Chris and family for their hospitality Sat night can still taste the shots and potions Chris was pouring down us, Kenny you will have to keep Hilda and Danielle apart next time we missed two taxis while they were dancing the night and morning away (w00t) (w00t)

glad it was a good weekend for you all,and a well run event
