im looking for some tiny (11hh pony) hoof boots

poor simba has a touch of lami and his soles have dropped..he used to have pads on in the past but the farrier thinks hes not as bad and they will drop even more if have shoes on

hes still very sore and lame slightly on the one fore due to hard ground

if any one has any for sale please let me no

sorry no boots but try global herbs liquid stuff for Lami :D

Charlie is prone to it, and im the most sceptical person ever with supplements, but this dosnt work on the hoof it works in the gut to prevent the build up of toxins. Honestly we found it worked wonders, we used it at the double does when he had it then at the minimal dose when needed. I swear by it.

also if you ever need bute just PM me :- :-

if he has, try to keep off the grass afternoon and evening..morning grass is better, wet his hay if given

,hope he hasnt got it

Sorry to hear this. I have had a look as I did think I had some but must have lent them out and not got them back. Are they the 'equiboot' type you are after? I only used them a few times as I found they rubbed the bulbs of the heel.

Hope all these little ponies are more comfortable soon, it's a horrible thing!

thanks

looking for anything to make him alittle more comfortable..been looking around and be honest they are quite exspensive,i tried a little poultice boot on him and he seemed alot better, but it kept slipping down so no good really

the trouble is he has so tiny feet L96mm W91mm..they do make them this size,if slightly bigger i can put some padding in

we're going to try gaff taping some of his old pads on if we use him on the hard ground as his soles are sore

how theyre gettin lami i just dunno.. most of the grass is burnt off

'Stressed' grass, along with frosted grass etc can contain the fructans that often trigger Laminitis. To be honest, I'd try the pads you have along with old fashioned sacking (creates a layer to 'breathe' between the foot and the tape) and duct tape. The only useful 'poultice' boots we had were made by a local, old fashioned saddler and they weren't cheap even then.

Having been 'out of' ponies for a long time now I'm not up to speed with the newer herbal supplements but would certainly be tempted to give them a try.

Hope Simba is feeling more comfortable soon :luck:
