To whomever would like to help me....

I have a 16 week old Weimaraner who's sooo cute, have had him for 2 months now. He's doing great as far as going outside to potty, but as soon as i bring him inside (after having just pooed and peed outside) he goes in the house again! If i turn my back for 30seconds (literally) he's pooing or peeing somewhere. I make sure I take him outside alot and take him on plenty of walks, but I can't seem to stop him from using my house as his toilet. Does anyone have advice for me? Please! I'm getting desperate and my carpeting is ruined. Thanks!

Hi Chsanc .... welcome to K9

I have two whippets aged 14 months and 7 months .. I had the same problem with Kobi the youngest one.

My only adfvice is be patient and dont scold ... just keep on taking him outside - and lots and lots of praise when he does it outside. When he does it inside - just clean up dont make too much fuss and put him back outside.

He WILL get the hang of things eventually, dont worry, I know it can be a right pain especially on carpets. (w00t) he only needs time and lots of patience and he will get there in the end, it dosnt last long that puppy stage and when you look back you can hardly remember it, HONEST. :)

oops sorry forgot to mention - I have an upstairs living quaters (kitchen living room etc) so it was doubly hard learning the pups to go downstairs when they wanted out :sweating: :sweating: but they have got there in the end.

Try to take him out on a very regualar basis - especially after meals and drinks and excercise - when being silly, they nearly always need a pee then.

Kobi still on the odd occassion will sneak back in if its raining and try to do it indoors.

Good Luck :luck: - Patience is the Virtue.
