Our Ebby will be 5 in September. Can't decide whether to run her as a veteran or maybe it's time for the patter of tiny feet.

There are so many good stud dogs about , how do I choose ?

Thought this might make interesting topic and give me some ideas.

Who would you use and why !!!!

What are you looking for should be the question. Do you want yd/lb or scratch?

my choice would be TINKERMAN my reasons behind this is simple he is throwing class pups and would complement our ebby breeding.

:luck: :luck: with what ever stud dog you choose

how do u decide on a stud dog? the answer is its very very difficult lol believe me i went thru a few b4 deciding on maid yourt point 4 crackin whizz. i was goin to use mickey whizz but he is 50lb and she is only 22lb plus both have crazy cracker in them. thehn vivs quest but that also has crazy cracker in it, @ the finish i decided on one having totally diff breeding. im mating my own nikki whizz 2 my own mickey whizz as im despearate for a pup out of him but there is a few i wud have chosen if not him. hellbound wud have been one (having got a pup out of hellbound) showman wud b another choice. u cud maybe do it say 4 instance if your dog is a sprinter u cud mate with a distance dog or if u have a fast trapper early pace mate with a strong finisher etc. good luck with wotever u choose and have a good look @ the stud feature on here it will help :luck:

like gordon says if your wanting yd/lb racing my choice would be just friends or for scr racing it would be deneside belle

think looking to see how many good pups have come from each litter a stud has produced, theres a few good ones to choose from personaly i think a certain little dog is doing the bizz of late ,champs in each litter but then its my pals dog lol but depends on what your looking for as this dog has produced both scratch and yard per pounders  also like just freinds producing well , or even try something totaly diferent its just taking a chance at times that can work shame wor johns no longer at stud he produced brilliant :luck: :luck: good luck with whatever you decide pat.

If she was mine

L/W - Just Friends (good racer himself, nice natured offspring, has produced fast sprinters and bend dogs, variety of weights and to bitches from all different lines).

H/W - Avit (something different, lovely build & nice natured, could match any scratch dog with his trapping & early pace and i think would produce a variety of weights too).

eta. or another H/W Chunkie (fast trapper & ep, beat top class scratch dogs throughout his career, produced lovely pups - 3/4 champions in his first litter)

I'm sure whatever stud you choose Ebby's pups would be stunning

I would also give her a season in the vetrans Pat,like you say so many good stud dogs out there if i had to pick small dogs Just friends or hellbound bigger dogs Chunkie or what about Nicks and Amanda Love Lockdown.Good luck with her whatever you decide apon great bitch :luck:

if it was my choice i would go for

hellbound a 32lb dog seems to be throwing good medium size dogs

streisand or just friends just have to look what these 3 have produced cant go wrong great dogs imo

If she was mine, she would definately have a veteran racing season. Nothing would live with her in my opinion. She certainly hasn't lost form from her injury earlier on this year as she's given the young and up and coming scratch dogs a hell of a run for their money. Not only that but I think she started her competitive racing career fairly late on and didn't run the bends initially either.

I strongly suspect choosing one pup would be immensly difficult for you and as you've got other dogs currently racing, I'd be inclined to think a bigger age gap between would enable you to keep more than one pup! (w00t) I'm a bugger aren't I?!! (w00t) You can't blame me though Pat cos if she was mine the pups would be going nowhere!! (w00t)

Maybe one will find its way to your house Jac. x She isnt due in season yet so she will give it a go in veterans. Just trying to find a suitable dog for

when the time is right. Dont want to leave it till last min then make a rash decision. My house is full of 'rash decisions'

Thought of these over night Pat 2 40lb Kaiser chief a dog that has not won a title but defo should of  Rodger the doger another great 40lb dog or what about oscars pride a very good little dog which has produced good pups. Was just trying to think of new bloodlines, good luck see you at the champs

JUST FRIENDS OR LITTLE BILL YOURE GET SOME NICE WHIPPET SIZES THERE

if i was look for a scr dog i would pick north to south this dog is under used and shoots out lovely pups

Don't you dare retire her yet Pat,she's more than capable of doing some great veteran racing  You'll find the right dog when the time is right, there's loads to choose from

Just because you might be thinking of breeding with her doesn't mean she will have to retire, race her in vets until she has a season, have a litter then bring her back for more veteran racing. As for which stud ??????
