In her first litter Claudia had only 4 puppies, but they were very nice. Tazaris Ikariam went to Europe and is doing well there in the ring and is having lot of fun racing and lure coursing. However some people who I promissed pups from her missed out, and so i decided to let her have another litter.

This time I have used son of the sire of her first litter, who is a real stunner, and who I used last year over other bitch and got a very nice and very sound litter.

here is a pedigree of the coming up litter: Claudia X Pyrate

And here is Claudia, due in 2 weeks and more pics on my website:

oh the gorgeous Claudia, doesn't seem a moment since she was a pup herself! Always had a soft spot for her

Hope everything goes well with the whelping

certainly more than 4 !! at least 7 . hope all goes well

I'm guessing at 6 possibly 7. Good luck with the whelping and hope she doesn't keep you up all night when she goes ;)

Six would be nice; last time the 4 were huge and taking so long to be delivered that I ended up racing to the emergency vets at midnight. :sweating: Claudia had the first puppy on the floor at the surgery, while we were waiting for the vet to see us. Never mind the astronomical fee for the privilige, i was just glad the pup & bitch were fine. Maybe the excitement of the drive speeded things up a bit. Anyway, second litter should be easier, and we are keeping all our fingers and toes crossed that they are not as big.

By the way, all the huge babies grew up to good size; the girls about 47- 48cm and Ikariam is 50cm. They are now 19 months.

We have a litter due about the same time as you (1st Oct) from our solid blue bitch Flash (Flash of Blue Lightning) who is in whelp to our black lad Dante (Rushden New Approach).....can't wait to see what colours we will have :))

Good luck with yours :) That will be fun, we can compare our babies born in the same time. Sire of my litter is blue fawn and so I am only expecting blue or fawn. Looking at your pedigrees, you can definitely get black and blue, and then either brindle or fawn. How exciting :)
