sounds like she coming to the end of her season though she might continue spotting for a few more days and if i remenber rightly the blood loss will start to go a different colour until it stops altogether.

i bet youve had it rough for the last week or so,chin up hun its almost over :huggles:

I always keep a bitch well away from the males until they are four weeks gone, just in case.Abbee has finish her season but i,m still keeping her separated from the boys

well i was hoping to have a litter off her in a few years time so we could have one ..but im thinking this stressed everyone one out so i think i would be just as bad stressing over if somthing went wrong when she was in pup or giving birth and would never forgive myslef if anything was to happen to her, so i think its best all round if she is spayed :sweating: and its the little things like not being able to walk her ,her little face the other day when she caught me sneaking out with the boys was heart breaking she was watching us from my sons bedroom window i could have cryed poor little love looked so sad and was looking at me as if to say ..what about me mum :( so i think its for the best :(

Don't forget you should wait min 3 months after a season before getting her speyed. We're getting our little girl done too once her hormones have settled down.

Mine weren't interested at all from about day 21 - mind you they were really crazy at about day 14. Her bits are still a little swollen and her teats are bigger still and she is over about 30 something days.

My boys and P-S told me very clearly when she was ready and the whining etc stopped as suddenly as it started

Sympathise with you Nicky12. My Penny is on day 15 and poor Storm our lurcher boy is rather stressed out. He has been neutered (about 6 years ago) but still remembers what to do. I am having to keep them apart all the time. She is quite stressed out by his interest in her. Poor Penny cannot understand why she cannot play with her bestest pal. :( Penny is a rescue so this will definately be her one and only season).

Can anyone advise which shampoo to use at the end of their season? I once heard that if you use a particular one it helps to rid them of any lingering smells. Think it was something like Tee tree oil shampoo.

:huggles: to Tia from Penny.

The 'bits' stay slightly bigger than they were before the first season permanently thereafter. As do the teets. You could barely even see Ruby and Holly had teets before their first seasons. The change was even more apparent with our Dobe.

From about day 21 i've found the dogs no longer have any interest but then all bitches have different lengths of season.

Really feel for you Nicky....it is so hard keeping dogs and bitches together. Could just picture you sneaking out and Tia watching you as you said in a later post. :(

well the first two weeks were fine if that makes ya feel any better then were interested and trying to mount her a bit but as soon as week two came all hell broke loose ,it really is that bad iv just come down this morning to mess  as ollie chewed and draged his cage cover off into his crate  and hes bearly eaten now for three days guna try hand feeding him later :( im not guna lie though its bad i know not all dogs will be the same but my boys have been really bad the constant cry wears you out ,but hey every dog is different ,yours might not be that bad :huggles: THANKS FOR ALL THE REPLIE PEEPS :huggles:

When I've had mixed gender households at the end of a season - I bath the bitch to get as much of the season (post 21 days) smell off as possible - and then reintroduce the family under close supervision for a few days.

You may have to be mean and growl at your boys if they are still obsessed (Or she might). Often experienced stud dogs know what is what and ignore a bitch when she's over it, but often boys who have never 'done it' get a bit obsessed :- "

Good luck :luck: :huggles:
