I cannot change my email address

I want to change my email address as I wish to eventually close my old account, but in settings I am getting a message that says my new email address is already in use. I am not sure how this is happening. If I set up an account with the new address I do not know how or where it is located. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance.

Maybe if you use your new email address and the "Forgot Password" option to receive the access code to it, and then you login and de-activate that account, you will be able to setup the email address in your active forum account? Just a suggestion, I hope it helps :thumbsup:

Try that with different browser. That happened to me once.
