My wee lassie was nipping my really expensive trainers and I raised my voice and said “no” and picked up my trainers and left the room.

She hasn’t been distant with me and after ten minutes or so I gave her a cuddle and told her that I was sorry to shout at her and gave her a few treats. I just feel so bad for raising my voice at her.

Does it make me a bad dog owner? Does it make me a bad person? Or, am I just overthinking this and every now and then all dog owners raise their voices at their puppies and dogs?

Please put my mind at ease.

I have shouted at my pup on a few occasions and have felt bad too but we have soon made up with a cuddle. You are not a bad person - puppies can test the patience of a saint.

Do we get to see puppy pictures?
