Hi everyone,

Dudley has been having some little mad moments over the last week or so which is great... but he makes this horrible screaming noise!! At first I thought he had hurt himself so I checked him over and he was fine? He likes to spin in circles under the sofa, on his belly whilst making this noise he also does it in the middle of the floor on his blanket. Does anybody elses whippet make this noise when playing??

Here he is... Prepare your ears!

He does sound rather as if he's stuck doesn't he! As long as he's not I wouldn't worry - he won't be able to get under there soon anyhow

All whippet do mad things, and make silly noises, quite normal, so don't be alarmed!

Phoebe use to make mad dives under the bed :clown: She stopped when she grew to big :( enjoy it while he is still little

Kaya was a screamer, she's still vocal now but has stopped

the screaming thank goodness ;)

It used to sound like she she screamed Ann, oh ann ann ann,

over and over.

All our puppies used to scoot under the sofa (great for dusting!) making banshee noises. There will come a point when they get too big. They seem to manage to get under it ok but not out again and there follows a few days of having to lift the sofa up and haul the puppies out but whatever bit of them you can reach, but as I said....great for dusting :- "

That's a very good point  This pup is turning into a good little all rounder, he dusts, pulls up the weeds in the garden and eats anything that I drop on the floor!! I'm glad to hear that Dudley is a normal whippet (completely mad!! :clown: )

weve got a foot stool and it sits right next to the sofa, zoe and star was sitting on it and zoes kicked her feet out moving the stool, and stars backend fell down the hole. she could not get back up and made that screaming noise, i thought zooe had whacked her or somthing it was horrible, but she was just a little stuck.

he maybe does think hes stuck once hes under their, but if he keeps going back and gets out alright then he probabily isnt bothered about it.

zoe watched the film with me and she said "whys that doggy stuck mummy" :- "

but like everyone else has said hell soon be to big to fit under their anyway :D

 Lenny does that too! Perhaps I should change my name :D He always does his silly barks in threes whereas Molly does hers in twos

Dudley sounds completely normal for a whippie :teehee:

:- " well i tried to watch it but all our lot went mental (w00t) (w00t) so had to turn the sound off abit rapid

Sounds as if he's getting himself into a bit of a flap doesn't he.

Our 2 are too big to fit under anything now. (w00t)

(w00t) was just looking at this with the volume up and my poppy was getting in all of a tizz looking for wear it was coming from ,think she thought wed sneeaked a baby in here (w00t)

little D makes the same noises, always when she is very excited. the more excited she get the louder and more in pain she sounds lol.

i once had the neighbours accuse me of battering her and the were gonna get the rspca on to me (w00t)

they saw the funny side of it when i invited them in and had a maddie with here lol

OMG he's so cute !

they do seem to have maddies at first but soon calm down into the lazy whippet stage !

Sounds like he's panicking, if he was getting hurt by something sharp under the sofa I'm sure it would be more of a one off yelpy scream and he wouldn't go back for more

Doesn't seem bothered by his collar tho'

Ours used to instantly stop any maddies when the collar went on, then immediately resume when the collar came off again

I can see you're enjoying him a lot :luck:

Sparky is 3 and a half and each evening he wedges himself behind the settee and barks and pretends he is stuck. Dylan ignores him and goes back to sleep. If we are feeling generous we make a game of moving the settee and letting him out, and he gallops round the room as though he has been incarcerated for weeks. If we are in a less than generous mood we leave him there and he eventually backs out with an expression of 'how could you be so cruel', and then does it again.

Your baby looks like he is having a lovely game, he's lovely.
