......only kidding Colin and Sammy :flowers:

Had a good laugh down at Island Hill last night with all our Pointy Faced People. A glorious day heated up the sands on Strangford Lough so that when the tide came in the water is heated up, perfect for dogs and humanoids.

All but poor foxy face Whiskey enjoyed it :( He hardly even got wet  I reckon that when Colt charged through the water he created a "Moses effect" and parted the waves leaving Whiskey to run through high & dry :D

Its taken all of Colts 5 years to finally have fun in water but when he did he was nuts :clown: Sammys springer Trixie had the best fun of all and just never stopped for a second.

I couldnt get too many good shots as i was afraid of dropping the camera in to the water.

Two things emerged from our "Jolly Boys Outing" to the shore.....

..1. Sammy owned up to making love to a sheep (i only hope it was a good looking one ) and ......2. Coatsy got outve the water faster than Gipo from a bath when i told him there were Mullet swimming towards me !

Next "Jaws" movie mate youll get role no problem as one of the people sprinting up the beach from the water

Full of joy the beach revellers headed for deeper water

Do you think it'll be safe to let Sammy loose in the Antrim countryside next Sunday?

That looks like a lurvely place for swimming - first try Rowan had in the sea last year in Cornwall a wave went right over his head so he was not brave enough to try it again in Pembrokeshire last week - and Willow is more for sunbathing 8) than getting chilly although if you look closely you may be able to tell she'd had a wash down due to her trying on some new "doggy perfume" :nuke:

These guys don't mind the river though as long as it is warm enough to warrant a paddle ;)

Flip me how far into that water did you go? Was it not freezing? LOL crackin pics of the woofers

What a great idea, and everybody enjoyed themselves. Poor Colin and Sammy must of got all their anatomy wet, what a cooling feeling. A page 3 for men . The scenery was beautiful and the dogs really enjoyed themselves. Looking forward to seeing you all at Sammys show next week.

Hi Margaret

Island Hill is one of the most underestimated places along our coastline. Its a dead-end carpark at the end of a 2 mile road with views the whole way up Strangford Lough.

When the tides right for swimming it will have been out all day and will have let the sun heat the sand up so when it eventually comes in the sand acts like a radiator and warms the water, ive been there every night this week as times and tides were perfect along with scorching sun !

The beauty of it is that you can walk out hundreds of yards and the water will only be waist high..unless you walk into one of the tidal channels then its swim time !

Next Sunday ill show you and Big J how to get there and ill meet up with you both as theres picnic tables too :))

looks like you all had a great time, love the empty beaches, :D :D far too many people live in the south west   beaches are always packed
